After nearly 3 months since Round One in Adelaide, I couldn’t be more excited to jump back in the Skwirk / Beechwood Homes Audi R8 LMS Ultra for Round Two Phillip Island 101, this time with car owner Rod Salmon for the Shannons Nationals this weekend.
Round Two of the
Australian GT Championship is a compulsory two driver race so strategy with pit stops and driver changes are going to be crucial. The team at
Melbourne Performance Centre have once again have done a great job to have the Audi in tip top race condition and ready to take on Phillip Island.
The Australian GT Championship is stronger than ever this year with more A Class cars and drivers joining this round, so I am really looking forward to be driving up against some of the best.
I really love the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit and have always done well there. Last year’s race Rod and I finished second in the older Trophy class Audi R8 LMS in a very eventful race. We will be looking to have another great weekend in the Championship division this year. I definitely think a podium finish is achievable and it would be great to extend my points lead but my main focus is to finish the race as I have a championship to think of.
Friday 22 May – Practice
P1: 09:55 (20 minutes)
P2: 11:35 (20 minutes)
P3: 13:50 (25 minutes)
Saturday 23 May – Qualifying and Race

Q2: 11:20 (15 minutes)
