I will be teaming up with new Audi R8 LMS car owner Greg Taylor and fellow driver and good friend Barton Mawer for the 2016 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour race at Mount Panorama, Bathurst on Sunday 7 February. Novati Constructions and PARISI are joining us on the race car for what is the big race that kicks off the Australian motor racing season.

With just a few days to go until the GT race cars hit the Mountain for first practice on Friday 5 February, I can feel the butterflies start to build with excitement. Mount Panorama is one of the most exciting race tracks in the world and it is always a privilege to be racing there, especially in this iconic Australian endurance race.
We are all extremely excited to get into the car on Friday for first practice and confident that we have what it takes to see us to the end of 12 hour race.
Our primary objective is to finish the race without any dramas, and with such a tough event ahead, all three of us will be focused on making sure everything goes according to plan.
A big thank you to Novati Constructions and PARISI for their amazing support to get the car to Bathurst and make this race happen. Melbourne Performance Centre have once again done a great job preparing the new Audi R8 LMS.

The Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour will be broadcast live in full on the Seven Network across Seven and 7Mate.
You can also live stream the entire race within Australia on PLUS7.
I’ll be posting updates from the pits when I can on Twitter during the weekend. Also check my Facebook page for comments and the latest updates.
